Tim Daelemans

From a young age, I have always been fascinated by the workings of the human body and understanding the mechanisms that determine our health. This curiosity, which I already had as a child, has stayed with me and shaped my career as a healthcare professional and educator. The drive to discover how and why things work continues to motivate me in my daily work, both in practice and in education.

After studying physiotherapy at the Catholic University of Leuven, I further expanded my knowledge with training in osteopathy at FICO in Antwerp. My thirst for depth and scientific curiosity led me to Dresden, Germany, where I completed both my bachelor's and master's degrees in osteopathy. Driven by a continuous quest for knowledge, I decided to conclude my studies with a doctorate in osteopathy (Dr. Ost.), which not only further honed my clinical skills but also contributed to scientific research in our field.

My professional experience is diverse. After co-founding my own practice with colleagues, I experienced both the challenges and rewards of working with patients from a variety of backgrounds. Our practice has grown into a large medical center with over 50 treatment rooms and a dynamic team of healthcare professionals.

As an educator, I am constantly seeking new ways to share my knowledge and advance the profession. Shortly after completing my studies, I began as a teaching assistant and later transitioned to teaching courses at the program I now lead. As the program director, I remain actively involved in education. Additionally, I teach internationally, including in postgraduate programs, specializing in medical imaging, diagnostics, pathology, and manual techniques.

Throughout my teaching career, I have also actively contributed to the development of new treatment methods, including neutral manipulations—a gentle technique I developed myself and which is now applied in medical practice.

What drives me as an educator is the desire to share my knowledge and experience with colleagues and future healthcare professionals. My mission is to further professionalize the fields of osteopathy and physiotherapy and to elevate their recognition, both nationally and internationally.
